Tier List Hub

Route 06 is still in alpha, so every tier list on this wiki is a living document. Survivors, zombie tuning, and Plague behavior can shift between patches. Use this hub as your starting point for S–F style rankings, then drill into individual survivor pages and our Best Teams breakdown when you are ready to lock a five-player lobby.

How we rank survivors

Our criteria focus on co-op survival value during a full run—not solo flex picks in a vacuum. We weigh four factors equally:

  1. Plague nights after the first checkpoint, when the unkillable hunter appears and stamina management decides who lives.
  2. Horde control at pit stops, traffic puzzles, and the military outpost last stand.
  3. Team utility (healing, stuns, crowd control) that helps the whole squad, not just one player.
  4. Token efficiency for players grinding Denis’s shop between runs.

Runs reward distance and kills with tokens (~1 token per 20 meters and per kill, plus ~50 for a successful escape). Spending 1250 tokens on Shiryo before your squad has reliable Plague answers is a common early mistake.

S Tier — alpha community favorites

These picks show up in most experienced lobbies because they solve multiple problems at once.

SurvivorRoleWhy they rank high
StellaSupportFloral Essence sustain keeps stamina and HP stable during long Plague chases.
KimberlySupportFlashbang buys seconds for revives and puzzle solves; pairs with Shiryo’s speed.
ClaytonBacklinerHigh stamina plus Plague stun makes night segments much safer for the team.

Stella and Kimberly are often debated for the top slot. Stella wins longer runs where healing tax adds up; Kimberly wins when you need instant disruption and can afford her coin costs mid-run.

A Tier — reliable workhorses

SurvivorRoleNotes
WilliamFrontlinerCharge plus Plague stun; brother synergy with Kimberly for coordinated flash-and-charge plays.
ShiryoSpeedFastest movement and high stamina, but lowest HP—glass cannon that needs support coverage.
AlanSupportSing damage resistance for outpost waves; buy after Clayton/Stella.

William is the safer Frontliner investment if you stun Plague instead of trying to outrun it forever. Shiryo is A-tier with Kimberly and Stella; alone, one grab ends the run.

B Tier — situational but viable

SurvivorRoleNotes
EthanSurvivalistFree starter with self-focused passives; fine for learning, outgrown once you earn tokens.
LucyBackliner900 Tokens speed pick with very low stamina — strong in skilled hands only.

Ethan teaches Route 06 mechanics without punishing new players. Replace him once you understand checkpoint pacing and night cycles.

C Tier — niche picks

SurvivorRoleNotes
MarcusFrontlinerCharge like William but only 80 stamina—brutal against Plague when sprint chains break.

Marcus can work in full five-stack lobbies where teammates rotate aggro, but community feedback consistently flags his stamina pool as the weakest Frontliner trait in alpha.

Role overview

Route 06 survivors fall into four role tags:

  • Frontliners (William, Marcus) — melee pressure and charge knockbacks at pit stops.
  • Backliners (Clayton) — ranged control and Plague interaction from safer distances.
  • Support (Stella, Kimberly) — healing and utility that stabilize chaotic nights.
  • Survivalists (Ethan, Shiryo) — self-sufficient or speed-focused kits for solo habits or carry runs.

Token unlock priority (alpha)

If you are saving tokens from Denis’s shop, a practical order for most groups looks like this:

  1. Clayton or Stella — immediate Plague or sustain relief.
  2. Kimberly — if your squad already has a healer and needs crowd control.
  3. William — when you want a Frontliner who can stun without Marcus’s stamina tax.
  4. Shiryo — last unless your team explicitly builds around speed and flash combos.

Marcus is usually the lowest priority unless you already own the rest and want completion.

Team building

Individual tiers only tell half the story. A B-tier Frontliner plus S-tier Support often beats two solo S-tier picks with no synergy. Read Best Teams for sample five-stacks, Plague night rotations, and coin economies around Kimberly’s Flashbang.

For ability specifics and matchup notes, cross-check the Players hub and our Getting Started guide if you are new to checkpoint timing.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Who is the best survivor in Route 06 alpha?

Community opinion usually places Stella, Kimberly, and Clayton at the top for co-op utility. The best pick depends on whether your squad needs healing, crowd control, or Plague stuns.

Is Marcus worth unlocking?

Marcus is niche in alpha. His charge is useful, but 80 stamina makes Plague nights much harder than William or Clayton. Most players prioritize other Frontliners first.

How often will this tier list change?

Expect shifts every major patch while Route 06 remains in alpha. Check the Updates hub after balance notes and retest Plague nights on your usual squad size.
